You have now been introduced to the world's most powerful mail and news reader, and believe me, I have only scratched the surface. To give you an idea of how complex and customizable Gnus is, the number of pages in the reference manual might give you a hint. The reference manual for Emacs is 500 pages long, whereas the reference manual for Gnus is almost 400 pages long!
Fortunately, you are not finished with Gnus yet. This hour has told you the basic things about Gnus. The next hour goes a step deeper and teaches you some of the more exotic commands. This includes using a database with Gnus, searching for messages, and splitting incoming mail.
